1.What is XBlock?

XBlock (http://xblock.pro) is a data set sharing platform designed to help the healthy development of blockchain and data research.

This platform currently shares the massive data of three platforms including Bitcoin, Ethereum and EOS at multiple levels and at various angles, as well as the relevant scientific research work of InPlusLab of the School of Computer Science and Engineering of Sun Yat-sen University in this field. All blockchain data sets have been standardized, cleaned and classified, and can be easily downloaded into a standard consistent format.

We hope that this website can provide the necessary support for researchers to conduct on-chain data analysis, anti-fraud, smart contracts, network analysis, performance analysis, etc., and jointly establish a healthier and more efficient blockchain ecological environment.

2. What data does XBlock provide?

In terms of data sets, we not only cover the data of the three major platforms of Bitcoin, Ethereum and EOS, but also have rich types in terms of the content of the data sets.

2.1. Ethereum

  • If users want to trace the detailed blockchain information of Ethereum since its creation, they can use our On-Chain data.
  • If users want to analyze the various characteristics of smart contracts on Ethereum, they can use our smart contract attribute dataset or smart Ponzi scheme labels dataset.
  • If users want to explore the Ethereum transaction network, as all transaction data is obviously too large, they can use our Ethereum partial transaction dataset. In particular, we also provide the Ethereum transaction network dataset of phishing nodes.

2.2. Bitcoin and EOS

  • For Bitcoin, users can obtain Bitcoin transaction data that has been leaked by Mt.Gox exchange; they can also obtain Bitcoin transaction fragments and tag data sets. This can be a great help for analyzing the Bitcoin transaction network.
  • For EOS, we also provide activity information of EOS DApps dataset for users to use.

3. How to use these datasets?

3.1. Read the data description before downloading

For each data set, we have shown its detailed information so that users can quickly locate the appropriate data.

The brief introduction allows users to quickly understand the nature of the data set, the file description allows the user to understand the file information contained in the data in detail, and the file preview allows the user to intuitively see the content form in the table file.

3.2. Refer to our data usage guidelines

We upload the data to the kaggle (https://kaggle.com/xblock) platform after processing, and attach the instruction documents we provide specifically for each data.

How to read the file and how to use it to carry out experiments, we will show all these in the instruction file provided, users don’t have to worry about getting the data but getting helpless.

For more information, please log in to XBlock directly to learn more. You can also see

4.1. Our related research

Part of the data set is also linked to our relevant research page, and users can learn more about how we use the data and what kind of academic research work has been carried out based on this.

4.2. More blockchain intelligence related papers

We have collected a lot of papers related to blockchain intelligence, including papers from our InPlusLab. We have classified it according to nine major categories, and users can filter them according to topics to browse them conveniently.
